Chaga Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • melted butter 2 tablespoons 
  • chicken broth 14.5 ounces
  • pumpkin puree 15ounces 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon
  • ground ginger ⅛ teaspoon 
  • ground black pepper ⅛ teaspoon
  • heavy whipping cream 1 cup 
  • Silo Reboot’s Chaga tincture

Directions

  • Step 1
    Saute onion in butter in a medium saucepan until tender. Add half of the chicken broth; stir well. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Transfer broth mixture into blender or processor and blend until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Return mixture to saucepan. Add remaining chicken broth, pumpkin puree, salt, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, and ground pepper; stir well. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 4
    Stir in whipping cream and heat through. Do not boil. 
  • Step 5
    Ladle soup into serving bowls. Add one dropper of Silo Reboot’s Chaga tincture into each serving.
